Nice pictures in the artwork.
Good imagery that put me in the scene.
I can feel the subtle passion of the speaker, as he/she watched.
But, isn't Venus, the planet, seen best in the morning?

The planet Venus is at its peak of visibility in the evening sky this week. Officially, Venus became an "evening star" but it doesn't happen all the time. I didn't know it was a day star. for my poem is an evening star.

Thank you very much for taking the time to read and review my poem

Okay... I read this and read this. I've looked into my stored memories and gazed upon Venus and yes, thought about you.

I have also come to the conclusion of weaved verse's woven... and the zig-zagging pattern of the lightning and thunder has weaved out on top and is perfectly used in more ways than just the obvious.

The way in which your second tanka poem ties so beautifully to your first and allows that contrast of calmness after the storm has settled is not only uplifting, it sits with me perfectly.

A stunning presentation... and again, paired and conveyed so perfectly with both of the images... yes, I really lived within this one MariVal!

With our thoughts we create...
perfect vision within our minds eye.

Warmest regards,
James.

Thank you, James, for another insightful feedback and very kind words. I always rejoice with your outstanding reviews.

I conjure passionate poems from a mix of reality and fantasy. I think it's common among poets. Japanese is the perfect conduit for visualizing thoughts. You know I am a very visual person.

Thank you, James. I always look forward to your reviews.

I loved the way you used night and day in this poem. The passion is very well described, and the reader can feel it. Once again, your presentation is well above the others. Thank you.

This is a nicely written Tanka poem. The words speak of passionate love, that exudes from being in love, perhaps the first time. I like the colors and always enjoy the double feature.

I really like this the whole thing is beautiful. I am unsure what you mean by a suite. I am guessing that the poems have to pertain to the same subject. I do like the Tanka form but I am no expert at writing them. I think I have been using them in reverse of the tradition as I come up with a Haiku and then over spill my ideas into the Tanka. 5 stars thank you for sharing.

Thank you very much, Mark. A suite is two or more poems of the same kind, like two Tanka poems.

Your poem has such beautiful imagery! My favorite phrase was "my raging passion was weaved with the storm's lightning and thunder." The pictures you chose work perfectly with your message. Thank you!
