Hi, I enjoyed so much the way you explained your verse, as a kid how one feels about the past. I enjoyed the picture that also explains a lot to the reader, you have a very strong depth when you write, and this kind of writing helps you forget or remember the happy days. Terry.

Beautiful imagery looking back to the safe feelings of childhood but the emerging butterfly has so much delight to look forward to.Thought provoking.

Well how right you are in your authors notes... many parents do a good job of sheltering as much possible, carving out a shell that is shatter when the world becomes our own... and then in times of need we all look back at all those carefree times of happiness, joy and simple things... how bad it must be for those do not have such a happy childhood... and different they must be when they emerge from their cocoon. Excellent concept, well thought out and delivered, lovely picture to compliment the write also. :)

    I am a bit surprised.this isn't on the list I think.
I appreciate your sharing of thoughts and I agree, not everyone has the comfy childhood and there are many who face a lot during this phase. Thanks for your kind words and excellent review:-)

    Are you insane?
You must not review a work based on it's theme.
I hope you are aware of ratings.3 star means a lot of change.if you don't know that, just re rate it.

Is there a person who is spared of this thought? We all want to go back to the days of childhood. It is true that the heart imagines a life which is special. Something you describe as; 'beneath silver-sweet full moon'. Who wants to be out of the cocoon? You remind me of my teacher who once said: "James, school life, a child's life, is the best that nature can offer. Adulthood comes with a lot of challenges." Sweet memories are already flooding my mind. I can rate this work better than 5 stars. Thank you.

This work has reached the exceptional level

I am intrigued by the imagery. It's difficult to convey so much with so few words...in this case, less is definitely more.

Nicely flowing words and they show very vivid pictures of the butterfly before its maturity. The cocoon is a safe place without struggle and it is so imaginative to parallel it with childhood. Well done. Thank you.

well said, I couldn't agree more. so true. you use the metaphor to get the point across nicely. not out of cocoon; those simpler more innocent times, ah yes, how beautifully they shine in memory.
