Mary Kay Bonfante : Hello, my friends on FanStory. It's been many months since I've participated in this site. My life in the recent past has been especially difficult, even going back a couple of years. I have actually missed interacting with many of you, more than the actual writing and reviewing, but I've had extra responsibilities and some heartache. It's been impossible to find time for creative writing, even though it's something I love.
I apologize to all my friends for just disappearing on you. I won't mention your names, because I'm afraid of leaving anybody out.
You know who you are, for the most part. Liz Emerald has sent me private emails from time to time, of which I have answered most. But otherwise, I'm sorry that it's been as though I've vanished from the earth.
I hope to do some reviews when I have a little spare time, and catch up with some of you.
God bless you all. We must always continue to trust in Him -- if you're a believer. And if not, God bless you, anyway ;-)

Mary Kay Bonfante : Please pray for my uncle. I'm not giving his name for privacy reasons (even though it's unlikely that people we know would go on FanStory), but he's my only surviving uncle, and very dear to me. He has small blood clots in his lung, and is in the hospital in serious condition.
They live in another state, so the only thing I can do is pray, and that's exactly what I'm asking my friends here to do! Please pray for him! He and my aunt have been together for over 50 years. They love each other and really need each other. Thank you very, very much.

Mary Kay Bonfante : Again, I am here, asking prayers from my friends (and anyone else who wants to be a friend).

Yesterday my mother, Kay, called Life Alert and the paramedics took her to the hospital for a personal issue requiring attention. While she was there, they tested her for Covid-19, and to her shock and dismay (and mine), the result was positive.

Just over a week ago, she received a negative test result from the Covid-19 community testing they ran in her building. She has no clear Coronavirus symptoms, with the exception of very mild pneumonia that just showed up on a CT scan (which was revealed accidentally, as the CT scan was abdominal) and this was all completely unexpected.

My Mom is 83 and mostly confined to her bed, with severe pain and immobility brought on by age-related spinal deformities.

I am praying that this virus will not take hold of her, because she is at great risk. The doctors prescribed some medications, but she will have to check with her personal physician to find out which ones she can tolerate.

Kindly remember her in your prayers! I thank you, with all my heart.

Mary Kay Bonfante : Hi, my friends. I would like to request prayer for my husband Jorge. He went to the hospital on Thursday after having some strange symptoms -- chills, hypothermia, vomiting and weakness. He has stomach ulcers and we think he was throwing up some blood, but the blood tests didn't show anemia, which the doctors said is very unusual. He did have a high white blood cell count, and the slight appearance of pneumonia on his CT scan. They're giving him antibiotics. They tested him for Covid-19, which came back negative -- it didn't surprise me, because both of us had it in March and are long past the recovery and quarantine phase (even though we still observe the same social distancing as others).
He has had strange episodes before, where extreme body temperature changes and chills precede the vomiting or regurgitation, but usually it's fever, not hypothermia. He was extremely weak this time, also.
Sorry to be so graphic. He's doing much better, but it's hard to be home without him. I hope the doctors can figure out why these episodes keep happening. It's the 4th time he's gone to the hospital for such problems, in the past 9 years, but he hasn't gone every time (it's not always severe).
I would appreciate your prayers for us very much!
