Write a haiku on the subject of nature
-17 syllables or less
-short/long/short format
-two grammatically interconnected lines of concrete imagery
-a satori/ah-ha line: a moment of insight
-a kigo or seasonal reference
-present tense
-minimal capitalization and punctuation
-no gerunds(-ing ending words)
-no rhyme
-avoid alliteration
-avoid redundant filler words
-no personification
-no artwork
-no videos, animation or music
-no author's notes
-title: haiku (first line of poem)
The contest winner will win half of the prize pool which is based on the number of entries. The second and third place winners will each share the remaining prize pool. The prize pool is currently 60.00 member dollars. There are only 3 spots still open. If all open spots are used the prize pool will be 72.00 member dollars. In this contest at least 2 submissions must be made for the vote to begin.
