It's Dictionary Time!

Poetry Contest
Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Now, it's dictionary time again!

Let's get out those fancy ten dollar words! I challenge you to write a rhymed poem, any rhyme scheme, of at least three stanzas, where every line must contain at least one word of three syllables or more.

Let's have fun!

As an example, here is my poem "Nature's Cheerful Orchestra", which won the "dictionary" contest here once:

The simply gratifying jubilation
Delightful spring's rejuvenation
Kaleidoscope of birds and bees
Bougainvillea and lilac trees.

Insatiable woodpecker drums
as evervescent breezes hum
through sumptuously verdant elm
Magnificent this season's realm!

Miraculous is nature in bloom
Chrysanthemums exude perfume
Obstreperous proud bumble-bee
Cacophony of frogs on water spree

The contest winner will win half of the prize pool of 90.00 member dollars. In this contest at least 2 submissions must be made for the vote to begin.

Deadline: Contest is closed. Deadline was Wednesday, February 23, 2011.
