“I miss you.” Her voice was like a butterfly, gently tickling my ear.
“I miss you too.” I did.
“Can you -- come over?” Her breathing filled the silence on the phone. “I will wear whatever you want.” She giggled, sending electricity through my body. “What do you want?”
“A shirt! Nothing else.” Comfortable feelings swirled in my head, clouding memories of our breakup and her betrayal.
“Okay. I love you.”

Salty tears ran across my trembling lips as I stared at the familiar silhouette in her bedroom window.
“Not again.” Reluctantly, I started the engine and drove away.
