Sweet dreams... (true story flash 100 words)
Morning Alarm
by LisaMay
My beautiful companion lay relaxed against me as we slumbered contentedly. I’d set the clock-radio’s alarm to the station that played a different birdcall each morning and I imagined, upon waking, we’d cuddle and I’d caress her sensuous body. She was a free spirit and had many admirers, so I always felt blessed when she chose to spend her nights with me.
The radio alarm birdcall came on and, in a panic, she erupted from under the bedcovers. With fear in her eyes, she dashed out of the room.
Apparently Lily, my pampered city cat, hadn’t heard a rooster before.
