A Roundabout Poem for Potlatch Poetry

Moon Magic

by damommy

There’s magic when the moon’s at play
the woodlands come to life
with lutes and flutes
among tree roots
the woodlands come to life

A happy land, this forest fief
it suits from head to boots
this tiny clan
down to a man
it suits from head to boots

They came, this tiny caravan,
and formed a masterplan
They came to stay
to live their way
and formed a masterplan

So there it was their life began
in woodlands quite remote
contentment’s rife
no daily strife
in woodlands quite remote
