A short rhymed poem
A chapter in the book Thirty (hopefully) Poems for April
Quite Out of the Blue
by Debra White
From darkest depths of indigo,
familiar clusters twinkled ‘hi’,
when rather unexpectedly
an elephant went floating by.
Transported by an air balloon,
it veered towards the crescent moon.
I swear I hadn’t had a drink -
I must be going mad, I think!
