For countless years
I traveled around God.
In ever-widening circles
I circumnavigated.
Far from my center,
each loop carrying me
to distant places,
to new adventures,
inviting me,
tempting me,
to taste and to feel
all that I could.
Wanting more,
Understanding less.

Am I a storm
simply spinning
on the horizon?
Or am I a soul
simply searching
for a place to rest?
I continue to soar
in ever-tightening circles
steadying me as
they pull me back to center
into the arms of God
who never once
let go of my hand.
