Dear God,

My most pressing concern today is for hearts filled with hate, dividing nations, states, communities, and families. I ask in faith that You will soften them, so they can be filled instead with Your love, and violence will be replaced by peace. You created man and woman in Your own image, and your Word declares You are love, and nothing can separate them from Your love. You loved the world so much that You gave Your only Son to die for all, so that any who choose to believe in You might have eternal life.

When Your Son Jesus came to earth as a baby, the angels glorified You in the highest, declaring peace and goodwill on earth. As Jesus went from place to place, He demonstrated love and urged all to follow His example. After His death and resurrection, He left His peace through the Holy Spirit.

Help those who follow you to show the love that You have put into their hearts and to be a cause for others to desire the same. Those who choose to believe in You will know forgiveness from sin and the peace and love only You can give. Then they can look forward to eternity with You in heaven, where there is only love without any hatred. I believe with all my heart and soul that You will hear and answer my deep concern.
