Poem to describe anger
Anger
The calm after the storm never stays long,
Before it hunts you down.
Rolling clouds heavy with rain,
Thunderbolts aflame ready to strike,
The world engulfed in a hungry shadow.
And with a boom,
Words come crashing,
Droplets with a ready blade come pelting down.
Silence...
Only rain patters against tightly closed windows,
A fierce wind picks up.
Trees bow,
Letting it pass.
Sizzling with electricity,
I let out a shout,
Thunder rolls out of my control,
A golden crevasse in the sky,
Splitting what's right from wrong,
With a cold-chilling CRACK.
And in this light I stare,
Sucking out my soul,
This cold frigid light that grows on fury,
Blinded... It takes over me,
I am no longer me.
Flash,
Boom,
Lightning,
Rain,
Flash,
Boom,
Lightning
Rain,
My mother's hand on mine,
And just like that,
Sunshine peeked out of the clouds.
