In the wings of dawn I awakened.

In the shadows I saw you lying there next to me.

I reached out to touch your face,

but drew my arm back,

not wanting to break the moment.

It was as if in waking you I would cancel the spell.

In the wings of dawn I awaited

until your eyes drew open.

On your lips there formed a smile,

as if you were remembering last night as well.

In the wings of dawn fire from the previous night

is rekindled as passion restored

ignites when our flesh melts

one into the other's in exalted pleasure.

A bit of heavenly bliss once more shines forth

as we awaken in the wings of dawn.
