Born to love

Poem of the Month contest entry
It's funny, people have spoken glibly about unconditional love without fully understanding the implications, it means dying (if needs must) for someone else. Love always involves sacrifice to some degree. I don't think many could die for a friend or a loved one, yet Christ died while we were His enemies, to win our friendship, knowing that most would still despise Him, As is the case still today. And we can be hated in that stance, why? It's very confronting to be different, and choosing not to love wrong over.right. It is simply wrong not to love, because that is the reason of ALL conflict...lack of it.
Isaiah 53:4-6
Surely He has borne our griefs
And carried our sorrows;
Yet we esteemed Him stricken,
Smitten by God, and afflicted.
But He was wounded for our transgressions,
He was bruised for our iniquities;
The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,
And by His stripes we are healed.
All we like sheep have gone astray;
We have turned, every one, to his own way;
And the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all. NKJV
