She's not afraid to show them how it's done.

The plane touched down Saturday evening, and by Sunday morning, we were on the road, driving two hours to watch my great-granddaughter Keyanna play in a soccer tournament. She's on a traveling team, where most of the players are eighteen. At just shy of sixteen — her birthday is in two weeks — Keyanna is the youngest on the squad.

But don't let her age fool you. Keyanna is a powerhouse on the field. Her experience as a track star and basketball player shines through in her agility, speed, and quick decision-making. She's fearless, diving into scrambles for the ball, deftly heading it, and even bouncing it off her back or shoulders when needed.

Growing up with two sisters to wrestle with has clearly prepared her for the physicality of soccer. She holds her ground with grit and grace, unfazed when opponents get rattled by her intensity. "I'm just playing the game," she says with a disarming smile.

And play she did. Her determination paid off. Sprinting down the field, she lined up the ball perfectly. With a swift sidekick from the left, she sent it soaring over the goalie's outstretched hands and into the net.

Score!

Oh yeah, did this proud Nana mention they won? 2-0.....

I hope you don't mind me sharing a few tidbits about my time with my family. Something is happening every day. Have a great day!
