A poem

Violent people

by royowen

Violent ways

Man's lustful ways aren't satisfied,
when violence vents again.
It always seeks destruction's course
destroying sons of men.

Now is there just one person who
will hide not in the dark?
Who walks not in man's evil ways
but lights salvation's spark.

Who walks in power and majesty
a lover of man's soul.
Who seeks to walk in grace and love
and longs to make men whole.

I've tried to change my wicked ways
but on storm-tossed seas I sail.
As if I cannot help myself
to find a haven... fail.

And yet I know that I can find
the source of man's lost hope.
I look unto those mountain paths
and climb faith's hoary slope.

Ecclesiastes 4:1-2
The Evil of Oppression
the sun and considered all the oppression taking place under the sun, I saw the tears of the oppressed, and they had no comforter; the power lay in the hands of their oppressors, and there was no comforter. So I admired the dead, who had already died, above the living, who are still alive.
