Thoughts are Like Cars

The thoughts in my mind are like cars

and cars,as you know, can go fast.

Traffic on roadways I see in my brain

could most certainly cause a crash!

These thoughts...I mean cars... are rushing,

or stopping or yielding on whim.

They are waiting for me to drive them to

garages that they belong in.

My mind, not cooperating

can't choose which car to bring home

I guess it's the whim of this poet at work

and the content of her next poem!
