We Could Go Dancing
by mrgrunty
I wrote you a song,
to tell you I care. for the spark in your tongue, and the grey in your hair. and if you remember my birthday's today; then, we could go dancing... Now I can remember, the glint in your stare. as I followed it under, to the truth that was there. and if in the moment I'm holding your hand; then, we can go dancing... ~~~~~CHORUS~~~~~ Chance upon the mystery, of dance indulgent history. The last remaining versions of your face Dance within the mystery, of chance and selfish history. To lose your special beauty is a waste. ~~~~~~~~~~ In whispers and corners, I gave you my heart. yet my doubtful reflection, would keep us apart. I'm holding it ransom to give us a chance; so, we can stay dancing... (INSTRUMENTAL BREAK) ~~~~~CHORUS~~~~~ Chance upon the mystery, of dance indulgent history. The last remaining versions of your face Dance within the mystery, of chance and selfish history. To lose your special beauty is a waste. ~~~~~~~~~~ When we go dancing, I watch from my chair. for the love in your eyes, at the time that we've shared. and if we remember our history today; then, we should be dancing... |
