Always There

Sedoka Poem Contest Winner
--O--

You were always there
when I needed you the most.
Calming, reassuring me.

Now, you wait for me
in that fuzzy place, between
troubled dreams and consciousness.

--O--

Writing Prompt
Write a sedoka poem. A sedoka consists of two unrhymed three-line stanzas, each with a syllable count of 5 - 7 - 7.
Often these stanzas go at the same subject from different perspectives, but that is not a requirement.

My Nanna could always make me feel better about things. She didn't even have to say anything sometimes. Just to hold her hand and have her listen to me was enough to give me perspective. She died in 2000. Not a day goes by without me thinking of her. I often see her just before I wake, usually when I'm finding things tough. She still has that calming effect.
