It drives me nuts; I am obsessed!
My Fan Story was the best –
but when it was put to the test
the votes were cast and I came last!
How could that be?
Losing shouldn’t happen to ME.
The votes were fine whenever I won,
but now I’ve lost I demand a re-run.
It was rigged! I was robbed!
That wrong result was a fraudster’s job!
I don’t have proof, but never mind;
you others can go suck lemon rind,
and if you fail to see it my way
somehow or other I’ll make you pay.
Member Dollars, I’ll need big bucks
to prove this lame Contest sucks.
I’m sure that I can swing a deal –
I sorely crave popularity’s Seal.
These bad Reviews just make me spew.
Come on Fans, you know what to do –
bring your big guns and stand proud;
repeat my lies, shout them loud.
We all will go very red in the face;
this whole affair’s a national disgrace.
I mangle my words and can’t speak proper,
and each lie I tell is such a whopper,
but I’ll still pull a rally show-stopper.
Although you’re averse to my Poetry
(it’s always been about me, me, ME),
it surely will come as no surprise
that now I’ve got my greedy eyes
on winning the extended Fiction Prize.
