So many changing goals permeate my soul.
First, there are the self-improvement goals
Next, there are the achievement goals
Goals to travel seeing faraway places
To heal my knees in hard to reach spaces
To find a home among trees that breathe
To find a faith where I can believe
To find a caregiver who never wants to leave
These are the kaleidoscope goals that send me flying
Away to where the birds are soaring
As a ship's mast attaches to the mooring
I lay on my couch staring down at the flooring
I want to live not always dying
Always at my best, and always trying
A poor soul who can't afford to be buying
To polish my aim to energize my soul
These are my kaleidoscope goals.
