Alex loved travelling to exotic places, experiencing their different cultures. Sampling the food was part of the pleasure, but he’d learnt to be wary of what was served. In some countries, dogs were on the menu; or worse still, fresh monkey brains scooped out at the table! One evening in Vietnam, feeling adventurous, Alex ordered the ‘house special’. He went to the restroom then began to return to his table. Horrified, he could see there was a cat on his dinner plate. Alex was hungry. He ordered another dish, letting the audacious stray cat continue eating the ‘house special’ squid. Writing Prompt Write a story of 100 words. not including the title. Any subject accepted.
