Behold the beauty of His rose
Rose from the dead, God's precious son.
Son sent by God, who writes the Book
Book sweet as blossoms, and just one
One ever holds within one's heart.
Heart speaks to those who listen well
Well planned this journey from a seed!
Seed global love - in Scripture dwell
Dwell saintly then, as best we can
Can humankind, this tale unfold?
Unfold our Savior's joy and peace
Peace spread throughout His world - behold!

Thank you for reading. Punctuation (or lack thereof) is intentional. FanStory wrote to Dawn Munro: The Blood-Red Rose finished third in the contest "Loop Poetry Contest".
These days, with the war in Ukraine and now in the Holy Land, I ask you to join me in praying for peace. Whether your book is the Bible, the Torah, the Quran -- it makes no difference in my mind -- we are one people under God and we need to stop killing one another...
The Rose (lyrics)
Some say love, it is a river
That drowns the tender reed
Some say love, it is a razor
That leaves your soul to bleed
Some say love, it is a hunger
An endless aching need
I say love, it is a flower
And you, its only seed
It's the heart, afraid of breaking
That never learns to dance
It's the dream, afraid of waking
That never takes the chance
It's the one who won't be taken
Who cannot seem to give
And the soul, afraid of dying
That never learns to live
When the night has been too lonely
And the road has been too long
And you think that love is only
For the lucky and the strong
Just remember in the winter
Far beneath the bitter snows
Lies the seed that with the sun's love
In the spring becomes the rose
