Thirty (hopefully) Poems for April
: Quite Out of the Blue by Debra White

From darkest depths of indigo,
familiar clusters twinkled ‘hi’,
when rather unexpectedly
an elephant went floating by.

Transported by an air balloon,
it veered towards the crescent moon.
I swear I hadn’t had a drink -
I must be going mad, I think!

Author Notes
I'm late starting NaPoWriMo this year, but I hope to catch up and write 30 poems in April.

I have used the prompt for day one, from napowrimo.net - Write a poem based on a book cover.
