nuclear winter
in a dark and gloomy world—
zombies survived

Author Notes
Horror Haiku is written by Japanese poets too. They call it "Hora Haiku" which has the same rules as haiku but the topic is horror. Dean Kuch and I wrote a published horror haiku book.
Zombie apocalypse is a genre of fiction in which society collapses due to overwhelming swarms of zombies.
Shelley has inspired me to write a brevette (*=*)
The Brevette, created by Emily Romano consists of a subject (noun), verb, and object (noun), in this exact order. The verb should show an ongoing action. This is done by spacing out the letters in the verb. There are only 3 words in the poem, giving it the title Brevette.
Each of the three words may have any number of syllables, but it is desirable that the poem has balance in the choice of these words. Unlike haiku, there are no other rules to follow.
