Hank, a writer, a gentle man, scruffy hair, and with a vivid imagination hopes to become the next fantasy novelist in the writing business. Nobody believes in him being the next author. They think he won't ever be a fiction author. He doesn't care and enters the NaNoWriMo contest. He writes his novel for a month by each day until the deadline approaches. Hank makes his outline, revises his draft, corrects errors, makes changes, cuts some scenes out, and self-edits it numerous times.   He submits the novel in time for the contest hoping for the best. He thinks it might go one of both ways, either to succeed or fail. The day has finally come to announce the winner. They have named Hank as the first place winner and gave him rights to publish his debut novel. He has become the next fantasy novelist, after all his hardwork paid off. His name and face is now on the front cover of the August Writer's Digest magazine. His novel is sold in all bookstores and online websites. His novel also succeeds in selling milions of copies. Writing Prompt Write a story or essay with the topic of "writing". Can be instructional or a character in the story can be a writer. Creative approaches welcomed.
