I've been afraid my whole life, so today I'll conquer my fears and jump from an airplane. I'm helped into the small, cramped plane that carries three of us who've been coached on what to do. I'm sure the other two wonder why I'm here. "You'll do fine, Honey," my coach assures me. Trembling, I give him a thumbs up. "Let's do it," I say, "before I change my mind." I jump. The parachute opens with me screaming. Then, suddenly, exhilaration sets in as I float peacefully down to my grandkids watching from fields below on this, my 85th birthday.
