Hoppity Grass Hopper

Hoppity Grasshopper
and his friend Cricket
Were sunning in the grass one day
Hoppity said to Cricket
"Let's just up and hop away"

They hopped down the lane
And up a tiny hill
They hopped by the lake
past the old water mill

Up the side of the tree
and down they hopped again
Hoppity said to Cricket
"Hopping is so much fun
When you are hopping with a friend"

So back they hopped
Past the lake and by the mill
They hopped right down
to the bottom of the hill

The lane took them back to the grass
where they decided to sun
Then both went to sleep because
they were very, very tired
From having
so much fun
