Jason sat in the doctor’s office trying not to look at it in the mirror. He’d watched it grow larger and larger on his lip. He looked anyway, and then slammed his fist into his reflection. Blood and glass rained down, like the tears yet to come.  Again, his mind went to her. “Sara’s husband, right?” she asked. “Yes, and you are?” “Just an old college rival of Sara’s.” “Oh.” “She stole my boyfriend.” “How?
