Hidden secrets ne'er to be revealed
Enclosed within these pages, tightly sealed
Memoirs countless of my loves and life
Each precious moment, struggle, joy and strife
Rejection, conquest, things achieved and fame
Omitting nought, for I've no sense of shame
Lay it out there so the world can see?
Oh no, my friend, these things are just for me
Got to record these random thoughts of mine
Yes, they are precious, though I'm only nine

Author Notes
Today's word:
hemerology (n.) a diary.
I have never, much to my regret, owned or kept a diary.
My much-treasured Christmas present for 2017 is a book by Paul Anthony Jones: "The cabinet of linguistic curiosities". Each page contains a descriptive story about some obscure or archaic word. It occurred to me it would be a fun exercise to try and write, each day, a poem featuring the "word of the day" from the book.
Thanks for reading.
