The muse abides where nature's held in time;
each figure poised in love's eternal clasp;
their balanced architecture's strong, sublime
as spires that soar from churches' heights, so vast
in concept that, when carillons ring clear,
they seem to shake the sky in sweet alarm,
awaking inspiration with their prayer
to bless such harmonies of human form.
A pair of lovers stop to gaze in awe;
their bodies tense and, with a loving glance,
their eyes connect as, shyly, they adore
and coyly osculate in resonance.
As art unites with life, expressing bliss,
true meaning is renewed in Rodin's Kiss.

Author Notes
Image of Auguste Rodin's marble statue, "The Kiss".
Rodin made the observation in his writing that bodies and buildings both depend on a dynamic balance between opposing forces.
