This winter evening by a lake
two lovers bask in bright moon glow
and cuddle on a fallen log
while watching others skate below.
She trembles as I draw her near
this winter evening by a lake
and scolds me with an impish smirk,
"Tonight? Out here? A bad mistake."
She clasps my cheeks and rubs my nose
with hers just like an Eskimo.
This winter evening by a lake
we soon are rolling in the snow.
"You had enough?" she asks at last.
I don't reply but swiftly take
her in my arms and kiss her lips
this winter evening by a lake.
