A limerick

Liquid lunch

At lunchtime I had a potmeal,
and now look as bad as I feel.
I'm forced to conclude
I should have had food;
my stomach feels less than ideal.

Author Notes
Today's word: potmeal (n.) a drinking session.
I wasn't able to find this in the dictionary, but my book assures me it is a word.
My much-treasured Christmas present for 2017 is a book by Paul Anthony Jones: "The cabinet of linguistic curiosities". Each page contains a descriptive story about some obscure or archaic word. It occurred to me it would be a fun exercise to try and write, each day, a poem featuring the "word of the day" from the book.
