That certainly does reflect the show Daniel Boon and friends. Missed the opportunity to drop a work to contend that speaks of Roy, Gene, Cisco and Pancho, Bill Hickock, Lawman, Shane and a battery of others. Don't know your age but my childhood was filled with so many Western men idolized by guns with faux pas ivory grips.

I'm 60. The contest said to only talk about one show. I almost got disqualified because I mentioned Fess Played Davy Crockett. I appreciate you going back and looking at my other stuff.

Nicely done. This had great flow and rhythm and I love the story that you give me as the reader. You have presented a wonderful picture here that just makes me smile.

A nice story poem here Earl. I know of Daniel Boone, but being on the other side of the Atlantic, I am not familiar with The TV programme. Your very well grafted couplets though explained in detail the kind of show, and I like everyone who read this, realise the aura and setting.
Good luck with the entry...very good couplets...nice rhythm.
Best wishes.

Dear writer,
Now I am impressed. I have read the other entries and while they all met the requirements they just didn't thrill me. Your poem did. It had a great rhyme scheme. It flowed very well. Your wording was creative. Great job. Best wishes in the contest.
Blessings,
Darlene

The author's words are interesting, descriptive and creative. The rhyming
in this poem is excellent! The poem flows and connects well. The artwork
is great and compliments both the theme and words of this poem.

I remember those days when Daniel Boone was on television. Like your poem. Even those old shows are great to watch again sometimes. Daniel Boone was an American pioneer and frontiersman whose exploits made him one of the first folk heroes of the United States.

I like westerns too, but I don't remember watching Daniel Boone. I liked Gunsmoke, which I still watch in reruns. Your poem is well written and interesting, thanks for sharing. :)

I too love western movies, this is a very good poem. One very
small suggestion. The word "in" in the last line of the nineth
stanza. I believe that line would flow better if you said "into"
trouble. This is not a criticism of your work, just a wee suggestion. Best wishes, my friend.
