This is a very interesting concept for a bottom to write the opposite of another poem. I like what you have done with it and I hope that you will do well in the contest. Have a blessed and happy Easter. Patricia

You have done very well with opposite poem. What I like about the form is it gives the opportunity to think of something exactly opposite or as much as can be.

At first I thought it might the rain, but drought made that impossible, So perhaps the sun, although only black with an eclipse.

I give up, I don't know, but I do know I like this poem. :))

Thanks so much, Gloria... I struggled to find a poem that would still make sense when made opposite, so I went basic! It does kinda make sense, although I don't think there's a definite solution to the riddle. Thank you for humouring me!
Best wishes as always, Debra x

-Good artwork and nice presentation, Debra.
-I like this idea for a poem.
-You ask good questions using the opposite of clouds.
-I am not very good with riddles. The spiky part is tricky,
as well as drought, otherwise I would say it is a black hole.
-Thanks for sharing it.

I don't think there's an answer that works, to be honest! Thank you for playing along x

You are welcome, Debra. I guess it really was a riddle. It really made me think so I'm glad I didn't sink!!

what is hard?
what is black?
what can't you see
when earth is dark?
what can sink?
what dries everything up?
what may be lower
than a slug or earthworm?
write is down -
depression's frown.

loved the opposite pormpt!!
great job with it!

thank you for sharing

    Hi Shelley :)
Thank you for stopping by and for whipping up your own opposite version of the poem - I prefer yours over mine!

A fun write and I enjoyed this unique write about the dark skies at night, and what is under the ocean, a fun poem of opposites here, very clever, love Dolly x

What a fun exercise to write this "opposite" poem. I guess except for bringing "drought" it could still be a cloud or something quite imaginative. Great way to answer the challenge!
