Not sure what a 'Dribble' is. Clearly very short. This is a fun and entertaining post, despite the sad demise of the poor moth. Interesting he buzzes round your skull, not your head. Is he a moth of the imagination?

I must recognize mastery:) in a few words you put poor George through so much. First I thought about Allan Poe, then the final erase all the seriousness and brought me a laugh:"George knocked himself out. Investigating, you accidentally stepped down and crushed him. Saddened by his demise, it's arrivederci to your pet. Bye-bye, George.". Thank you for sharing and good luck with the contest.

Well, that was a short life for the poor moth, but I'm sure he was much loved between landing on your hand and his rapid demise. Fun little story! Best wishes for the contest!

the narrator is a lonesome man who finds some cheer in befriending a moth who visits him for a second and then almost kills itself. The man accidentally steps on the moth and crushes it. Having named his new 'friend', he now bids it an Italian farewell . A fun read. Good luck in the contest.

Heheh. What a fascinating thing, creating a pet and then accidentally being the cause of his demise, somehow it seems fated to somehow be a happening, beautifully written, good luck, blessings Roy

You always have a way of taking me back to places in time, even when you don't mean to. How my little turtle got out of the bowl I don't know. But I didn't find it soon enough, before my little brother bit his head off. LOL. Thanks for sharing.

What a demise for that little turtle. But, leave it to little brothers to do unique stunts like bite their heads off.

Dang. You managed to elicit several emotions from me. First was wonder as I have never so much as touched a moth, then there was empathy as he careened into the windowpane. And the last emotion was guilt. Killing the poor moth even if it was unintentional was sobering. Great piece of flash. Gretchen

Good work. A story in fifty words.
I just hope that wasn't your only 'pet', or your first after losing a lifelong pet that near broke your heart in its passing. (smiley face here)
Best wishes.

This made me smile as having a moth as a friend means the friendship will be short lived, a fun post Brett and I loved the humour within, love Dolly x x x

Poor George. You wrote a quick story and made quick work of George. Hopefully, next time the protagonist will choose a larger pet. I enjoyed this Dribble and will check out other chapters in your book. Best wishes in the contest.
