This was certainly a rich chapter. I gained the feeling that a lot of issues were brought to closure successfully. Even Peggy seems to have been brought under control. Well done. kay

Hello BARBARA.WILKEY,
It's a nice piece of Romance Fiction having easy to understand + PERFECTLY matching the theme phraseology, captivating flow throughout from the beginning to the end, and beautifully depicting its theme.
The first sentence defining LOVE is very CATCHY and TRUE. MEMORABLE Indeed!

I am glad you finished with information regarding the thug who broke into the rental house. You left no details out and I thought it sounded very realistic and plausible. One question was he the pimp? Some children will have severe effects from crack. Depends on the amount of exposure and when in the inutero development it is introduced. I think you handled it beautifully. Gretchen

Hi Barbara,
I already reviewed this, but when I looked, it didn't seem to save. I don't know what happened. If you end up with two, I apologize.
This was an excellent and revealing chapter. Here we see the truth about Emma's birth mother. It's good that she has such a close relationship with her adoptive parents. She will need to be able to fall back on it.

Good building of relationship between Seth and Emma. They are drawing closer, which is sweet.

On another note, I'm raising a 3 year old. I've had her since she was 6 weeks old. Her mother took meth most of the time she was pregnant. She had some issues at first, but has grown out of them now. There's nothing wrong with you having her mother an addict.

Hugs,
Rhonda

Thank you for sharing your story. A reviewer told me it wasn't possible to have a typical child if the mom took drugs while pregnant. Hence, the reason I added the data.

That really angers me, and who amongst us are perfect! Kylie has a brother 10 months younger than her. Mom was strung out on drugs for most of the pregnancy, thus we raised the sister. She doesn?t have custody of him, but he visits often. He?s here now for the holidays. There is absolutely nothing wrong with him. He?s smart, strong and well adjusted.

I like the artwork and quote. A well written chapter. Emma has had so much happen to her in a short period of time. I think she keeps a lot of things inside, but she has a good support system with her family, Seth, and friends. Jake had a good idea asking Emma to play her guitar.

I was surprised that Peggy Barton took things as far as he did, and then Seth took control of the situation. After he explained that she knew information that could only have come from his files, I can understand why he did. I didn't know she owned the cottage. That could complicate things.

We learn more about who attacked Emma, and all kinds of thoughts have to be going through her mind. Seth is very kind and patient, and they have a good conversation about what had happened after that with the bribe attempt.

I think it was good for Emma to know about her birth mother, and their conversation about will be helpful and eventually lead to closure for Emma. It's a shame the mother passed away. I was ready to read more after Emma's question. Well done. Have a Happy Thanksgiving.

I didn't know she owned the cottage. She doesn't own the cottage, it's belongs to Seth. She really overstepped. LOL Thank you for the kind reveiw.

I agree that even babies initially addicted because of the mother during pregnancy could be completely normal. It seems Emma has nothing to regret as being adopted was the best thing for her. It's great that Seth stood up to Peggy and had her arrested for going through legal files.
Suggestion:
It would help if you had a speech tag for the question because I thought Seth was the speaker in both quotes.
"It's not your fault Mickey Casey broke into your home."
"Is that his name?" Seth nodded,

Great chapter. Seems like Emma looks down a little on adopted people or maybe it's just a hang-up. I've been I. That circle a lot and most adoptive parents I know are way better than the birth parents as far as morals.

You are spot in about the drugs. Some severe drug use like meth can cause major physical issues, but most crack babies I have seen, and I have seen a few, mainly suffer from withdrawal symptoms like shakes or tremors. Also lots of crying.

Just my two cents. I liked it!

You are a good story teller. It is very easy to read through the whole story.

The conversations are real. People's feelings are displayed among their conversations.

The secret of the adoption was well written. Everything details are shown.

Again thanks for sharing.

This is an interesting chapter of your book of which I have read a few chapters previously. It seems like the story is going to become more interesting and I look forward to reading more.
