Very exciting chapter again. Yikes. He is even scarier than your mother's husband...mostly, I think, because everything he says has to be translated by his wife. So you have a delay in your response time, which, in this case, proved deadly.
Very well done, Lea. xoxo

Always a five star read...even with a misspell here or there. You know I no a little about that, don't you [smile]. I find it very inviting and with an ability to draw me into the plot! Really very well thought out. Than for sharing. I think ill dig a little bit in your portfolio and see what else I can enjoy. Talk to you later.

Thanks for sharing another fine chapter. I don't usually, or almost never offer suggestions, knowing full well that the writers will edit and polish themselves later. However, today, I'm just pointing out a couple easy ones.
He grabbed me by the color (collar) of my nightshirt, . . .
I struggled, pulled and tried to pris (pry) his fingers from my arm.
"This only ends badly you kniw (know) this!"

I saw another great film you'd enjoy. It's called 'A Vigilante' with Olivia Wilde, who hires herself out to abused women to rid them of their husbands. It's on Amazon Prime if you have that. x

I think this must be the kind of stress that definitely leads to a life-changing decision here. I see other reviewers have suggested some edits.
He grabbed me by the color of my nightshirt,
change color to collar
Then I thought, "uh oh," as I watched his brown face turn black."
I would capitalize Uh oh.

Hello Lea,
this guy stepped over the line when he put his hands on you. It's time to go to the cops. I can appreciate that Mrs. D is in a desperate situation, but her culture seems to be binding her from moving, at least for now. One thing is certain, you need to pack up and go while you can still draw a breath. Well done gal.
On a different note, you obviously live in a more southern end of BC. In Southeast Alaska, though it was the Tongass National Forest, a rain forest, we had lots of snow. One year we got 23 feet. I thought it would never quit.
Blessings,
Tom

Holy smokes that's a lot of snow! We don't get much snow here in southern BC anymore. We might see a little skiff here and there. But mostly we are snow free abd just get rain.
Not when we were children though. I am just above Washington State.
Quite close to the Peace Arch border. Most Southern part of BC. I'm right near the ocean. Thank you again for your review. Wow, it looks like you got quite the winter winter lineup there. Still holy smoke. So I hope you have a great big fuzzy dog to keep you warm! Have a good night thanks again!

The problem with you both leaving together would mean that this man would never leave the two of you alone and it is best for you to go on your own, this man is not your problem. I am glad that you fought your corner Lea, I hope you soon pack your bags and get out of there! What an awful situation to find yourself in, from the frying pan to the fire, as they say.

This only ends badly you (know) this!"
Another fine chapter.

Comment from Jim Wile
What's it going to take for this woman to realize she would be better off without this maniac? This is so sad, not only for her, but her children too. I hope you can get through to her because she is dooming herself and kids to a life of torment, if not death, at his hand.
You are very brave, Lea, to want to help her and to stand up to him and not just bolt at the first opportunity. - Jim

Thank you Jim we're kind of in it together and I at that time. I did my Best Buy her hopefully. What I did helped but I shall never know. I appreciate your reviews really. I do as always. I appreciate your friendship too. And the music you've sent me from Paul as lovely as well. For which I thank you for that too. And for being my friend and reading long that's the best gift ever thank you!

You've become a dear friend to me too, Lea.
