Seems ole Galvin may be worried Noah is after his job, which Noah probably would not accept should the golden egg fall his direction as he is "an in the field type of guy," which is where he should remain.
Noah's toe to head examination of Sami indicates her exercise routines are not the only "work outs" he would be interested in.
Galvin's visit moves the storyline along well.

This chapter is also well-written. Sami sounds like she is still putting up with everything, especially with this line describing her reaction: She shrugged her shoulders. And it sounds like exercise is one of her mainstays.

I like the way you use dialogue to move the action along, it works well and emphasises the different characters, and tension between them. Your editing as you posted seems to have worked well. kay

"You are a man, but for some reason, I believe you." LOL So, usually, men are not believable?
Geez, so Sami's a teacher working undercover with homeland security? And Noah might be in love with her? Would law enforcement routinely engage civilians in their field operations? Or has Sami officially joined the force? Interesting story.

Not to Sami. LOL Sami is not working undercover. She was late picking up a student. That student was kidnapped by a human trafficking ring. Sami was trying to save her, no clue how to do it and got herself into trouble. Noah rescued her and now she's under his protection until the arrest the bad guy. Thank you for stopping by and leaving this kind review.

Like usual, the chapters are clear and concise with no unnecessary filler parts. Sami has definitely established a strong fitness routine...I shudder to think of all the years I spent doing no exercise at all. Now, at least I walk a mile nearly every day, but its split into half-morning and half-evening parts. This is another excellent posting, my friend.

That feels normal that Noah's boss might want to check out what's going on after that report. I like how you did Sami's dialogue, showing that she was nervous and very polite addressing the chief as "Sir" repeatedly.
I like that Sami recognizes that even though Noah is a man, his "once over" was really an observation about what exercises she does. She can always do sit-ups and pushups in her room. Weights can be improvised with water bottles etc. But since she can't be seen jogging in place might be the only alternative.

Hmm, everything looks good and well edited. You have a strong writing process that works well. I do wonder about the abundance of dialogue, story progression and holding the reader.

It has a strong audience. I'm traveling to the Midwest the middle of may and doing a book signing. Thank you for the kind review.

This part of the story gets a lot done with the higher up and helps Sami feel a little more comfortable being held hostage in a way. She and Noah have slightly stilted conversation as if neither of them is used to talking to people they rather like.

Hello Barbara,
Sami and Noah seem to be getting along in their new relationship. I like the easy flowing, believable dialogue. The chief, while being thorough, as he should be if he's in charge, nonetheless seems like a bit of a jerk. I suppose in his position he can't afford to be making friends of the employees, especially in such a dangerous profession. Well done gal.
Have a blessed evening.

Sami and Noah are so cute together. He is protective of her and she is an independent girl. That chief Galvin is annoying.
Well done, I'm enjoying the book.
