Gypsy,
I like this type of poem; your subject fits it well.
Your cogent statement of war is honest and true.
Excellent presentation, Gypsy.
Best wishes!

AMEN!!! Yes, I wish our governments would realize that war solves nothing. Matter of fact it normally causes more wars. That's not even counting all the innocent lives that are lost because of it. This is a wonderful poem and presentation.

where soldiers and innocent die -- did you mean "innocents"? "the innocent", "innocent civilians"? or maybe just "civilians"?
soldiers are plural, so i think "innocent" should be, too...
also, maybe put a slight pause- after third line?
just a thought... or maybe that's just me lol
other than that, a great gogyohka poem with deep meaning that all should read and heed...
good imagery and cool pic's, too
the little boy in front of the tank is perfect!
thank you for sharing

Yes, no one 'wins' and yet we still use that term in warfare. It's an horrific process that achieves nothing but death, loss and devastation not to mention a lust for revenge. Lest we ever forget WW1, the Great War was supposed to be the war to end all wars. And yet 20 years later.... Your stirring gogyohka verse succinctly sums this up in your characteristically eye-catching presentation. Well done, Gypsy. Take care Debbie

Unfortunately, this has been the case for centuries. It is relatively recent that a term was created to describe the terrible reality
Well said and presented
RJ.

So many innocent children and civilians were killed in Ukraine and in Gaza. It's not just the dictators but the terrorist organizations who think nothing about the lives of people when they hide in hospitals, churches, and schools. Well said!

Collateral damage is plain Evil--a word used to describe the deaths of innocent bystanders. You did a great job conveying your thoughts with your talent and artwork. I will never understand the reason behind greed.
God bless,
Steve

Collateral damage is a politically correct way to say innocent bystanders. War is unforgiving and doesn't discriminate. This was a thought provoking poem. Gretchen

You are right , innocent bystanders is right but for me, 'collateral damage' innocent lives are okay to loose to win. It's disgusting.
Thank you very much, Gretchen
