I'm so sorry to hear about your childhood trauma and the impact it's had on later life. Christmas can be a difficult time for many. So much is expected and life will always get in the way of making plans. It's important that you spend the period in a way that suits you the best, probably in nature where the birds soar just simply because they can. Your acrostic poem flows freely and is one of your best, not least because I didn't even recognise it in this format until the end. That's the sign of a good acrostic for me. Just - memori(e)s. It helps to open your heart and trust again. Last year, I learned that it was far better to reach for the light at the end of the tunnel than to stand in the darkness alone. You can do this, too! Reach out, Sis, I, and so many others will take your hand. Believe and let it go!

I've had years of therapy for this, but it's never helped. Some years are better than others. That bright light is a train coming at me. Just having a rough go. I take one day at a time. Thats all I can do.
