I find this poem rich in imagery, and could not take the literal interpretation of it. Well done, dear Sugarray. A great entry for the 5-7-5 writing prompt. Good luck in the contest.

the kitten and how it offers comfort.

This 5-7-5, Christmas Kitten, has the proper formatting and makes the distinction between loneliness and the miracle of a Christmas kitten to hug. ....

Ciao Sugarray,

My felines make Christmas bearable.

All the merriment around would weigh on me otherwise.

Since my parents went to live in Spain in 1992 , I passed Christmas alone with my furry boys.

When my mother died on the 21st of December 2006 my father came back to live in Italy with me .

I'm always gloomy this week and Christmas has lost much of its cheerfulness.since.

Pa's passed awat to in 2017 and now with the war in Ukraine and in Gaza , I really don't see there is much to celebrate when so many children are suffering.

I'm glad I have my felines , they help me get through these two weeks of celebrations

This is a great Christmas 5-7-5 poem. Animals are the best. They are sweet and give love freely with judgement. The picture compliments the poem.

Well done

Cecilia

As long as this Christmas kitten is still appreciated after Christmas is over then this is a fine present. Your photograph is cute and I enjoyed your uplifting words, love Dolly x

My granddaughter will love this light hearted Christmas poem. She loves kittens and cats in general. A cute photograph that complements your well constructed poem.

There is nothing quite like holding a little kitten underneath your cheek and listening to the little kitten for too quiet then feeling of loneliness. I enjoyed your 575 very much. I wish you the very best in the contest.
