Hi Sis, such a beautiful message in your little tear jerker. You know what a softie I am when it comes to doggies. You have done a wonderful job of taking away a young child's pain, and replacing it with faith, love, dreams, memories and returned happiness for things to come. What more could one ask for, when feeling so sad and mourning a loved one, in this case her doggy Mocha. The story is filled with emotion, which ends in a satisfying way, leaving the reader ( me ) feeling comforted, and comfortable about the loss of the adorable best friend Mocha. Great one sis, you are a soft soul I know that, and your story shows that to all who choose to read it. Hugs to you my big sis, luv little sis. xxxx

Here I am as usual with the same theme...someone is sad, hold them tight and make them glad again....I wonder if there is any room inside that cobwebbed lined head of mine for me. I am so glad that you enjoyed this story..I was thinking of Matt and his little Pug that died...Thanks for reading and for the wonderful dusting of stars...Carol

A beautiful story of a beloved dog and just how the mind of a little girl and her smile can be restored if only by comfortinf and consoling words of empathy towards her hurt.

I am so pleased that you enjoyed the story. I am very close to my little four legged friends and my son lost his little Pug after several surgeries trying to save her. I guess she was in my mind when I wrote it. Thanks again. Carol

Awww, now that made me cry. I love labs, they are just the best dogs. My hear broke for the little girl. It was a nice touch, leaving the prospect of a new puppy for last and turning it into something Mocha would want her to have. I have no suggestions for improvement. Wonderful job. Best wishes in the contest.

A well done tearful story. A best friend (pet), a mother's love and wisdom, and a child's imagination. A job well done.

This is a very sweet story. The dialogue is very nice. The flow and content are very believable. The story is true to how a child would act. Good job.

Fabulous entry! I'm always awed at your touch and your way with words. What a beautiful way to allow a child to let an animal go, without forgetting about it. Dealing with grief can be difficult. This sounds like a foolproof way.

The best of luck in your contest. It's a great entry.

Regards, anabelle

Death is so difficult for adults to comprehend, and children can be traumatized and devastated beyond belief.
This story is tender, pointing out ways to help heal the hurt and mend a heart.
Very very well done, with so suggestions for changes.

Very sweet and well-written. Good use of conversational quotations.

I think the story shows a mother's senstivity to a child's feelings and her ability to use "little white lies" believably in order to comfort a child's heart.
