Ohh my gosh!!! It really happens this kind of crime every where even inside a home. Poor women and man also . There's a lot of beast all over the world . You've showed how your words flow out the screen very vivid and believable. Very well done !!!!

Leda and the Swan is one of my favorite pieces of writing, you have taken a more direct route here but still it's very powerful, self gratification at an immense cost to another. I'm a male, not a very big one, and was once threatened by a large woman that she was "gonna take me to the back a' the store for some fun", well, ya know, some males might daydream that that kind of a spontaneous sexual encounter is somehow fun but I tell ya, I was scared, and just wanted out, and she was reasonably attractive, but that had nothing to do with it. It was the violation. Anyway, there was a commotion that happened and I fled from the store. I think more men should experience something like that.

CW thank you for telling me about that experience. I agree wholeheartedly. The fear instilled in one is enough, never mind anything actually happening.

You have a talent for writing. Your poetry puts a hand on a reader's shoulder and says "Ok, check this out, you can leave when I'm done".

Have to sadly agree with the note that you made. Although this is the harsh reality that often happens, the less brutal version of rape is the one that is most common. I am sad to have to live with the reality of knowing a victim that had a drunk and helpless encounter with a former friend. Though in cases like these the victim puts the blame on herself and the rapist counts the act as a conquest.

This was very good. I can definitely see why it won poem of the month. You detailed this perfectly in a way that you made sure it was focused on rape and not just sex. Its disgusting that people actually do that. This poem is amazingly written. Excellent work!

oh my god. this is beyond disturbing and it is real, which makes it absolutly horrifying. Fantastic and superb job making this reality come to life with your images and words. I can feel that Dark Hand and the Power of being totally helpless, alone, afraid, violated, and scarred. It is worthy of its alcolades, as terrible as it is. U know what I mean dear. Sorry you had to go there in order to speak out about something so real. I daresay this is going on at all times somewhere in the world. Ack

They say it is about power? Is this what happens when we objectify women? Don't these men understand how wonderful and mysterious
and funny it is hanging out with a great chick? Are they socially inept?

Hello there...
Such a wonderful and meaningful poem from you...
I love this ending part very much
In shame, this virgin now in silence cries,
her innocence upon a dark street lies.
and it has a powerful meaning! Well done and congratulations to you!
