I love the picture. I love the poem. Raising sons is especially hard for mothers. Our daughters can emulate us. Sons have to find a different example to try to copy. Great work. Good luck with the contest.

This senryu, Sons, certainly touches on the human aspect of this form and reminds me of the joy and inherent responsibility we have as parents and as fathers to boys.

Beautiful. I was struck by the artwork right away. I can just see two young boys and the youngest looking to his older brother.

Then reading your 5-7-5 they both seemed to belong together. And by God's grace they are now wonderful men.

Very well done. Hopefully my son feels that alliance with God at times. 5-7-5 is really hard and I am trying to make more than I have submitted. But I liked the way you put it.
