Ahhhh, breathe slowly in & out, aware of its passage...
Time as word has no meaning, for as entity does not exist, except in human minds (not in Nature). Silently worthwhile to reflect upon.
Another "jewel" of few words, poetically expressed ! Again congratulations !

    Hi Sue,
this was an inspired write motivated by who the contest was formed for... MISSY98 a young writer here on site who lost her battle for life last year... Melissa loved her flowers and nature and wrote of them constantly...Dandelions being her favorite.

Thank you so much for this glowing review, it is most appreciated.

And yes, time has not much relevance to me... the sun rises and then goes down... we do what we do in-between and hopefully enjoy our time doing so... wait a minute, did I say time? What and minute as well? Seems this time thing has got me after all... smile)))))))>

    Hi Amanda,
I don't usually do the prompt contest thing, but this one was generated in memory of a very special young lady on site that passed last year... Missy98. A very brave, determined and talented poet. The visual was generic for the contest... but it said so much.

Thank you my dear 'lil Sis, this was a true gift from a very special heart!

Oh, this simple six-word poem sings! The serenity, the beauty is all there, written so elegantly between the lines - wonderful ambiance! Simply perfect. Now I have NEVER awarded six stars for so small a poem (since I read exceptional and LONG works-stories) but this jewel shows just how well the writing tools can be used to paint a glorious image in our minds and touch all the senses...
(Why didn't I see this earlier?!!!)
OUTSTANDING! *********************************!!!

    Hi Dawn,

well you know I don't go out much for the prompt contests... can't say I'm much for those popularity pageants... but this was Missy's inspired prompt... the visual was recommended by the prompt and the thought of Melissa and the photo furnished the words... and I am so glad you thought that much of them... and you wouldn't have seen it because it was a blind prompt... so thank you for going in to dig it out... you know there is always going to be a very soft place in my heart for you... thank you!

    With our thoughts we create,
    a paused sigh,
    James xx

P.S. Do you know if everything is alright with Gungalo?

I haven't seen her posting for a few weeks now, I've left messages... thought you might have heard something?
reply by Dawn Munro on 02-Jun-2014
I'm sorry to say I don't know what is happening with Gungalo at all, and I've been worried too...I plan to email soon...

Somehow I missed this post. These six words are quite powerful, and the picture adds meaning and an introspective sense, peace and beauty is felt.
Love the idea of Breath of silence, such exquisite word choice.
Well done :)

    Hi Jade?

Thanks for going back in and retrieving this one... don't usually do the prompts, but this was a contest invented by missy98, a brave young lady who passed over around this time last year... she sure loved her nature and wrote of it often... hope all is going well on your end of the world my dearest friend.

P.S. Did you end up reading my story that you so generously pumped?
reply by PenWhispers81 on 01-Jun-2014
Hi James, I will read your story tonight or tomorrow morning when kids are off to school. They have been all week at home, it's been difficult to review this week. Started last night, but then I had to log out of a sudden, lol. I don't think tonight I will have interruptions, kids are in bed and J is sleeping. I will always get to your work, don't worry. promotions mean nothing to me.
I've got anew fan lol. I am avoiding fans, but because I posted a poem yesterday for James and made the mistake to promote it, someone liked and went to check Arissa's book too, loved the style and fan me. Lol, what to do now? I am not even promoting this book. I am planning to promote my book with vampires, but I am not really looking forward to gather fans.

    Your friend

Hey, wasn't pressuring you to review it, just wanted to know if you had a chance to have read it... you know I value your opinion... I am only to aware how busy you are... And you know your going to gather more fans when they stick their teeth into your new vampire story... but who cares, it's the next chapter of your life... go with it! you can't hold back being popular. xx
reply by PenWhispers81 on 01-Jun-2014
I know you were not pressuring me, lol :D Just wanted to tell you why I did not review it yet. I actually already opened your work four times, but then something happens and I have to leave lol.
We'll see about the fans how is going to be. Lately a few people have been comparing my style with Katheene E. Woodiwiss, lol being compared with one of the most romantic famous writers. I think it is because she uses poetry in prose too. I like to have my own style, but considering her publisher is HarperCollins I don't mind at all. :)

So true...I found elusive those rare moments of contemplation...my own fault. When time stands still in appreciation of one's surroundings so much calm to be found.

Great job in short order. Good luck in the contest! :) Carrie

Succinct and to the point.

Yes, in silence, time does seem to stand still.

I try to spend a good part of each day in silence. I find that in the silence is where both magic and truth reside.

There is such power in words - you just proved this with your six word poem, James.

I found myself breathing in deeply and exhaling.

A beautiful tribute to Missy.

Have a lovely week, friend.

James, this is a wonderful tribute to your FanStory friend, Melissa. The photo is a perfect compliment to your poem. I believe true tranquility is found in nature. Time standing still is a blessed thing. Very well done!

    Hi Marietta,
the photo was recommended and supplied... all I had to do was furnish the sentiments behind the six words... but it came together and that's what's important.

I'm truly grateful for the six my friend... that was a very nice surprise... and I'll take it as you intended it... with grace.

I like this entry a lot, your six words have a lovely image of a moment standing still. Unfortunately is moves on. but at least that moment has rejuvenated us.

Well done,
Good luck in the contest Mary

    Hi Mary,

thank you for dropping in on this one... I received four votes... so that's something hey! But I can tell you if it wasn't Missy 98's original prompt I wouldn't have entered... on not much on these contests... but I do appreciate your review as do I your friendship 'lady of the stars'

I find deep-breathing very calming and therapeutic, and you imply this, I think, by suggesting a pause from the human rat-race to appreciate the simple beauty of nature.

Cheers, Ted

    Hi Teddy Bears,

yeah, love that deep-breathing into silence... I do allude to it and yes I stand by it... there's already enough unnecessary noise clogging up the airways.

Thanks a heap for the calming attendance of your measured breath... a truly appreciated review.
