Very much worthy of a six...You're obviously a gifted storyteller and this will make voting tough...! I wouldn't be surprised if this takes it...
Best wishes!

Sure thing, Bill. I'll keep you in mind, Bill. I tend to be very slow at getting around to folks...
Peace,

Oh, man, I did not expect all these emotions this late at night lol. That was haunting--in more ways than one. I didn't think Rob had gone there to kill himself, but i'm glad he was talked out of it. I do think of suicide (in certain situations) as the cowards was out. There were a few missed quotations, especially when the old man started talking again, and I was puzzled as to who was speaking in spots, but overall it was great. Good luck in the contest!

Awesome. Really pulled me in. Loved the line about the snakes at the end, and the description about the little childs crinkly dimples just brought her right to life. Your dialogue was superb and believable. Only found a few nits:
After cutting the water on
Cutting the water on. Is that a mistake, or a term I'm not familiar with?
We killed every one of them
Missed the quotations in front of We.
Cheers

Thank you so much for reading and your kind and generous review! Cutting the water on would most appropriate for the American South. The missing quotation would certainly not be appropriate for the South or anywhere else! :) I'll circle back around and correct. Warm regards, Bill

This is another interesting story. About a guy who got pissed up with life and larked to a cemetery where his ancestors lay. A resurrected great-great grandfather sat him down and told him about those ancestors of his.
The story is creative, has depth and a unique language flair.
Brabazon.

Boy! I really enjoyed this story. It should have been in a contest. I know it would have won. The story was very thought provoking and well written. I loved each story that the great grandpa told. Each was more interesting than the other. Great job. my friend.

We all face decisions made by us or others around us that leave us angry, depressed or helpless. How those emotions are handled says much about a person. Your story is one of hope for Rob and leaves the reader to believe he got off his haunches and did something positive instead of wasting time feeling sorry for himself.
As always, your characters come to life. I always feel I fit into your stories as they move forward.
Thanks for a good read.

The story has been narrated so well that it keeps the readers' interest and suspense alive till the end. It is interspersed with sound advices which would hold well in any situation. Like suicide is running away from problems in life - a weakness instead of facing them boldly. Similarly, one should be careful to keep a safe distance from evil company

This is an excellent story. I wondered early on if Rob was going to attempt suicide as a way out of his problems. You did a great job of maintaining suspense throughout the story.

I enjoyed this immensely. Deeply moving story and marvelous characters brought to life with your superb style. I love how this came full circle and Rob realized suicide was not the answer. Great work with this one. I am limiting myself to 5 or 6 reviews a day until my foot heals. I spend most of the day soaking it in a bucket of ice. Hopefully in a week or two I'll be back to normal.
