Hilarious. I don`t know which I like better, the banned one or this. To tell the truth, this is funnier. It is actually a rather heart warming ending. Some truth there I suspect.... NG

I'm not sure what's going on, even after snooping in a few of your comments. You and Gloria are such amazing writers and people, I've been honored to know the both of you. Your writing here is very clever and most entertaining. I hope the two of you are indeed enjoying the music of sandpipers on a desert island...can I come visit? Do I have to wear an orange jumpsuit? Let me know... :)

Hello, Mike,
You have quite an imagination. I could see you and Gloria playing the avengers' John Steed and Cathy Gale. You have a great imagination.
The plot was amusing in a way but I knew it was not all for laughs. It wasn't until I read your author notes that I found out what happened. It has blown my mind. How can this happen in FS? It's surreal. And it all started like a malicious comment blown totally out of proportion and now someone is making threats to you and Gloria? Really? This is freaking insane. It's Something out of a tv series for sure.
Check this line>> ''....would go over too big [it] they found out...'' (if)
I love your secret agent names: Michael Patrick O'Cahill, Cyber Bully, and Chick Magnet.
I am sorry you and Gloria are dealing with all this crap, it's horrible and it could not have happened to nicer people in FS. I hope whoever is behind that threat gets what they deserve. If not from FS, they will get it one way or another. Karma is a bitch.
Love you, Brother Mike

Hi Mike,
I saw you mention this in the forum under your free verse
preliminary post. Wow! Talk about drama! You weren't
kidding when you said in your other poem you stick up
for your friends. Admiral...if not for the damaging aftermath.
This was written with a lot of passion and visual accentuations
and in a mode of humor and protection of your friend. I do
think all of this was blown way out of proportion. What I originally wrote
on my profile page as just a fun comment to what felt like a put
down from your friend...was not intended to suggest that
a poet of the caliber of Gloria would need to "steal" from me...
a lowly scum who simply pumps words upon a page and never
has claimed great fame or brilliance. I never mentioned a name
in my pirate warning. I believe you all read someone's comments
on my profile and jumped to conclusions.
I originally wrote my generic comment, because it was 3 words, Mike
...out of a 6 word poem.
You see, I don't believe that for one instant that she needs
to steal from me...It felt like an attack. The 3 words are
Bed/s, SHEETS, and Earth's. I made no accusation of
plagiarism. You called me a LIAR. On my profile and
harassed me. That is a fact.
3 words out of 6 felt like a direct attack. If she did not
intend that, then I'm sorry for my misinterpretation. I really think
that in the spirit of peace and good will we all should
drop this.
I know that Walt Whitman lived a fairly long life and
saw all kinds of things...much more than a leaf or
blade of Grass. He wrote of things of significance
many times....Let's try to leave this behind and
move forward.
Here is a quote of one of Walt's works...It's impacting...moving and
the ugly brutal reality of his time...His view of the Civil WAR.
Let's all grow up. Please
The Million Dead, too, summ'd up -- The Unknown. Walt Whitman"
"our young men once so handsome and so joyous, taken from us--the son from the mother, the husband from the wife, the dear friend from the dear friend--the clusters of camp graves, in Georgia, the Carolinas, and in Tennessee--the single graves in the woods or by the road-side, (hundreds, thousands, obliterated)--the corpses floated down the rivers, and caught and lodged, (dozens, scores, floated down the Upper Potomac, after the cavalry engagements, the pursuit of Lee, following Gettysburgh)--some lie at the bottom of the sea--the general Million, and the special Cemeteries in almost all the States--the Infinite Dead--(the land entire is saturated, perfumed with their impalpable ashes' exhalation in Nature's chemistry distill'd, and shall be so forever, and every grain of wheat and ear of corn, and every flower that grows, and every breath we draw,)--not only Northern dead leavening Southern soil--thousands, aye many tens of thousands, of Southerners, crumble to-day in Northern earth."
Linda
Edited version...I see you have changed the form in your original post from free verse to a diary fiction piece and made edits to your post to save your exceptional ratings and keep your rankings. So my original comments look a bit out of place...although I do see references to "tiptoeing" and "beach" and I see an edited posting from Foxangie that appeared for all of a few minutes. You've also changed the word SHEETS to "Wheelbarrow." My, have you nothing better to do than slam gossip around and tinker with, stalk and harass us lowly poets on the site? Spread malicious, cancerous stuff.
Thank you for railroading me right off of the site. You did a good job of that, indeed. I am changing my rating on this work. Why? Because writing is more than about technique and a visual show. Good writing is not bashing and dehumanizing others. So you get one less star than good. Also, it was rather difficult to understand your humor and it seems the motivation behind it is not pure.
You also have a typo in the following line:
"I don't think it would go over too big **(it) they found out my encounters take about five or ten minutes to complete including cuddling."
I'm sure you will be happy to know that I will no longer be around to abuse, falsely accuse and harass. Be aware that this piece sends an image of a BIG fish flopping around in a very tiny, muddy rain puddle.

I was laughing so bad when I saw those "active warrants" comments - the whole thing turned into murderous amusement (lol). The comments were removed - I didn't see them today, I guess, the powers that be saw to it...
Hilarious write, Mike, done with your usual talent and flair. The word "sheet" done in graduating sizes had me in stitches. Your prose is very good, keeps the reader on its toes.
I am going to skip Potlatch altogether this weekend, cannot write Whitman style, and don't have the "juice" in me to produce anything worthy on the prose front.
But I will be back a week after.
Fond wishes and love,

Thanks for reading. That was actually just a direct quote.
foxangie123: There are active warrants in place for a.k.a gloria and a.k.a michaelcachill. Do not respond to them. They are Cyber Bullies. Do not quit FanStory either. Their IPS addresses have been recorded and since they live in two separate parts of the world and the ones they are stalking and harassing are in another they are crossing state lines and international. We continue to record their dealings which are criminal. Block them Immediately. If you hear from either one of them contact Tom immediately or you are aiding and abetting a criminal act.

I found it hilarious too. She posted it on Sweet Linda's profile page. :))

Michael, I was on Linda's page and did see foxangie's comments yesterday. I don't remember laughing so hard, especially at this: "since they live in two separate parts of the world and the ones they are stalking and harassing are in another they are crossing state lines and international". Wow. This morning, when I looked at Linda's page, all comments were still there except hers. I thought maybe the powers that be took them off.
At least she inspired your little masterpiece (LOL). Unbelievable.

Serious? A post with the first paragraph? Why can't everyone just get along without threats? This is a writing site...not a soap opera. This is an interesting dialogue piece. Emphasizing the word, sheet, must mean something.
Interesting that you mention feds...because my page has different addresses than the rest of yours and they have been watching and listening for years. I printed 300 pages from the DOD from my laptop. Sounds crazy...I know, but talk to Snowden.
People should not threaten others on this site. They leave paper trails in more than poems.
So..good job..love the photo...and if this is a real happening, it may be time to find another writing site....
Also...it has come to my attention from a fanstory member that people are confusing members with other members in threats. The anonymous nature of the site encourages this, but it can be detrimental to the innocent. This should not be happening.

Oh boy I feel ridiculous, I thought this was a prose poem for the Potlatch! Sorry about that. Really hilarious fiction writer about a cracked reviewer. I am soooo sorry and I hope I'm not now on the short list here.

Where are all those damn sixes when I need one. They just don't give me enough. I don't necessarily believe that every post I give a six deserves one if they are used as a grade like in school. But I don't give a damn how well written, spagless, or poetic a post is, all I want to know is, is it fun and/or entertaining. I mean, I read junk every day, by people who are well known and well rewarded with many fans and duckets. Duckets are dollars, but my guess is you are one of the few who would know that. I'm hoping and assuming that top piece wasn't really posted, cause if you aren't kidding, we've got some real sickos on this site. I mean nut cases worse than me. Thanks for another fine post. :-)

The initial post sounds so irrational. How could it be true? Are they upset because they claim the word 'sheet' belongs to them? Damn, I've been plagiarising with each word that I post--they've all been used before.
I'll have to invent a new language. Of course, no one else will understand it, and if they do and dare use it, I'll have to scream plagiarism.
Foolish stuff is going on here. I'd call the funny farm and see who's escaped. I'm sure we can verify the previous occupant by the writing on the wall. It would be SHEET ten-thousand times ten in various shades and fonts.
A Sheety obsession--I'd say.
Onward and upward. Great post, Mikey.
