Hi, Craig;
Very interesting use of this word -- and so many things to say, but I'm afraid none of them would be politically correct. I've gotten myself into trouble with my opinions about politics, so...
Thank you for sharing another word -- I'm loving this book,

LOL Well, I figure if I have the write to put my opinions out in a poem (which I do), people have a right to respond with theirs. I usually get "alternative" viewpoints, as long as everyone is civil, it's all fine with me :)
Thanks for reviewing :)

I love a good limerick. You have the nice lilting rhythm perfected. I guess we're talking about Trump again. He sure gets his name in a lot of posts on this site lol! Now I have that song in my head. Rah rah Rasputin, lover of the Russian breed...

Hey, no names in this post, Joy! I'm so glad it gave you a few Boney M moments... how about this one to keep you going?.....

An animalistic limerick, but I'm not sure the bear and the turkey will enjoy the comparisons LOL I don't think they know yet who the winner is, if there is one.
Very fancy rhyming with this one Craig, enjoyed it. I find limericks very hard to get the right flow, but you've found it with this write.
cheers,
valda

Hey, Craig... I read this limerick, Nice play on animals for political reference. Entertaining and appropriate form for the tone of the poem and the theme thought. I think the turkey gets a bad wrap (the animal itself)
What I liked about this as I read, is that it contains the flash sense of a bigger scale one might feel looking at a political cartoon. Nice rhymes, and all the edges that I like about your poetry and observations.

In hindsight, I think I owe the turkey (the animal itself) an apology for creating an unfavorable association.
Thanks very much, Turtle - much appreciated :)

Comment from Gloria ....
It's an old war, a much deadlier Cold War. How brilliantly the Russian Bear created disinformation and had it spread by the turkeys themselves and launched from their own platform--Facebook. If we weren't seeing its success at creating massive destruction first hand we wouldn't even believe it possible. Excellent political satire and using the perfect form too--the Limerick. I wonder if it will be Rasputin's ladies that will take 'em down?
Richly layered post, Craig. Is there a fox lurking nearby perchance?

Your limerick taught me a new word, Craig. In this instance, not 'Rasputinism' (which I already knew) but 'schism' ... lol Limericks look easy to do, but they are not. Well done and creative. I especially like your "Chisholm/schism/Rasputinism" rhymes ... not exactly easy words to connect together via a poem. Well done! ~~ Connie

Thanks so much for the lovely comments, Connie. If I end up remembering more than a handful of new words from this exercise, I'll be pleased lol. Much appreciated - Craig

A very well-written Limerick. I doubt if any country can say honestly their government shows no signs of corruption. Although I believe rasputinism will soon comes to an end because the people who vote are sick and tired of the situation.

Well said and well told. Also, a good use of your new word Rasputinism.
I like this word. It kind of rolles off the tongue, nicely.
Thank you for sharing your verse with us.
