I did not expect your punchline! It sounds like a description of how I feel sometimes, especially when I fall way behind on FanStory. I actually didn't wear a watch for nine years, until my son gave me an Apple Fitness watch, because its big hand felt like a guillotine! Your 5-7-7 obviously resonated for me. Cheers- Joan

Apple watches have definitely made wristwatches cool @gain.

Hunh? Did I miss something? Did you perhaps encounter a wrinkle in time? It may not be your watch that is the problem. maybe like Rip Van Winkle, you were napping and did not wake in time. Whatever the case, you are too late, the Donald is president and the world is rapidly going into the toilet, end of story. Good night.

That was a very good 5-7-7, and you
definitely came through with that funny
punch line. You definitely have the skills
to pay the bills. Keep writing.

LOL! How late is late? I know people who are chronically late. I think it's a belligerence to let everyone else know they don't want to follow the rules. A lot of people are like that. Marilyn

Late equals either incompetent or conceited.

LOL. I'm not quite that far behind, but almost. Throw away that watch.
The change in the time always catches me off-guard. I wish the powers that be would leave the time alone.

This is witty and so true. I always have trouble catching up with things. I believe a lot of people think they're three years late. This would have gone great for some of the recent contests. Your 5-7-7 syllable count is right on the button. I think this is an observation that many can identify with. Very clever. judi

Nice hyperbole to emphasize the narrator is usually late -- "I'm three years late as it is." Fun, witty poem that tells a very full story that many can relate to either as the chronically late person or the one left waiting.

Hello Bill, you've written a very good short verse. Witty and interesting. I wondered how you got such an appropriate picture. You are slightly late, hahahaah I noticed no errors, and would recommend this poem for review, Ana.

He he he, time is certainly against you in this write Bill. You should do what my partner does, he puts his clock 15 minutes fast and we gain 15 minutes all day long and it is surprising how useful that 15 minutes is! He he he, clever words, love Dolly x
